The class

Groove, freestyle, and real style.

Hip Hop is more than choreography — it is a culture, a language, and a release. At Hooked On Dance we teach street and commercial styles with respect for their roots, giving dancers the grooves, isolations, and musicality that sit at the heart of the form while keeping every class high-energy and genuinely fun.

Classes build real movement vocabulary. Students develop foundational grooves, body control and isolations, rhythm and timing, and the freestyle confidence to make movement their own. Choreography routines grow alongside technique, so dancers learn to perform sharp, expressive sets while staying relaxed, musical, and connected to the beat.

Every level is beginner friendly. Newer dancers find their footing in a supportive, judgement-free space, while more experienced students are pushed with faster combinations, cleaner execution, and performance opportunities. Whether a student wants fitness, self-expression, or stage-ready skills, Hip Hop builds coordination, confidence, and a strong sense of personal style.

Optional AIDT examinations give those who want them a recognised qualification and a real sense of achievement, while others simply enjoy dancing for fitness, expression, and friendship. New students are always welcome, whatever their starting point.
